The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 provide you with rights regarding your personal data. This page explains how pilascingu complies with these regulations and how you can exercise your rights.
Our Commitment
pilascingu is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy rights. We process personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently. We collect only the data necessary for our stated purposes and retain it only for as long as required.
Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Right to Be Informed
You have the right to know how we collect and use your personal data. Our Privacy Policy provides this information in detail. We inform you of our data practices at the point of collection and through this website.
Right of Access
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. This is commonly known as a Subject Access Request (SAR). We will respond to valid requests within one month. There is no fee for this request in most circumstances.
Right to Rectification
If you believe any personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request correction. We will address rectification requests within one month.
Right to Erasure
Also known as the right to be forgotten, you can request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances. These include when the data is no longer necessary for its original purpose, when you withdraw consent, or when you object to processing. This right does not apply where we have a legal obligation to retain data.
Right to Restrict Processing
You can request that we limit how we use your personal data. This applies when you contest accuracy of data, when processing is unlawful but you prefer restriction over erasure, when we no longer need the data but you require it for legal claims, or when you have objected to processing pending verification.
Right to Data Portability
Where technically feasible, you can request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. You can also request that we transmit this data directly to another controller.
Right to Object
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests, though we may continue if we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
Rights Related to Automated Decision Making
You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not currently make such automated decisions.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected] with the following information:
- Your full name and contact details
- Clear description of the right you wish to exercise
- Any information that helps us identify the data in question
We may request proof of identity before processing your request to protect your data from unauthorised access.
Response Times
We respond to all valid requests within one month of receipt. If your request is complex or you have made multiple requests, we may extend this by up to two additional months. We will inform you of any extension within the first month.
Fees
Most requests are handled free of charge. However, we may charge a reasonable fee for requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive. We may also refuse to act on such requests.
